The point is we don't know, he does indeed create a lot of suspense and intrigue by omission and it can be in fact a clever marketing ploy. Sure there are people who are truly genderless and non-binary but we don't know if AP is one of them, the mystery is what draws money and attention to him.

So what you’re really saying is that Andrej’s a cunning guy, who’s hiding his homosexuality and making up the gender issue story so that he can cash in a lot of money. And he’s been doing that like for how long now? 2-3 years? Wow.
